About this event:Our December/Holiday meeting brings together the story of AIIM Past, Present and Future. We know what the present day brings our nation in terms of political and financial turmoil. We can see from our recent elections that the electorate has chosen a new government and asked that a new direction be taken in managing the affairs of our country and financial markets. But what of AIIM and the related industries we all work in? Where are they now? Where have they been? What mistakes have we made and seen in practice that we need to avoid? What lessons have we learned over the years that show us the directions we should take in the future? To tell this tale, we have John Mancini (President AIIM International) who will represent the “ghosts” of AIIM Past, Present and Future. He will go back to take a look at the days of the National Micrographics Association (NMA), the early days of AIIM and the beginning of the hard-copy to electronic media conversion. He will discuss the State of the Industry today and the challenges we all face as users, venders, consultants and operations. He will also look into their crystal balls and give us an idea where our combined industries are headed and where we need to position ourselves and our organizations. Please note that the Ghosts of AIIM Past, Present and Future are also invited and a visit from Santa Claus is expected. About Our Speaker:John F. Mancini joined AIIM in May 1996. Working together with the AIIM Board, staff, and thousands of volunteers around the world, Mancini's goal is to help AIIM connect the users and suppliers of document and business process management technologies and services. Mancini believes that ECM tools and technologies provide solutions to help users with four key business drivers: continuity, collaboration, regulatory compliance, and reduced costs.
