  What is AIIM?

  AIIM Chapters

Vision:
The Association for Information and Image Management International (AIIM) is the global authority on Enterprise Content Management (ECM). ECM technologies are used to Capture, Manage, Store, Preserve and Deliver information to support business processes.

Mission:
AIIM promotes the understanding, adoption, and use of Enterprise Content Management technologies through education, networking, marketing, research, standards, and advocacy programs.

AIIM Chapters serve the overall mission of the Association by:

Providing
membership value through local educational and networking activities

Expanding the ECM industry through new member recruitment

Representing industry professionals at the local level

Serving as a channel for grass roots industry advocacy and representation

AIIM Bookstore. Get the read on the industry. All AIIM publications and Standards in addition to selected titles from other publishers' - hand picked for relevancy.

Standards.  AIIM develops standards for the American National Standard Institute (ANSI) in the Document Imaging industry. AIIM is spearheading the fast-track development of standards in areas of digital preservation, capture, storage, access and other areas.

AIIM MIT/LIT Program.  AIIM, through its Accreditation Committee, has established the Master of Information Technology Designation and the Laureate of Information Technology. The Master of Information Technologies (MIT) Designation is intended to recognize individuals with a significant track record of education, AIIM membership, and industry accomplishment.

DOC.1 Weekly e-Newsletter.  DOC.1 provides you with a razor sharp weekly electronic broadcast on the people, technologies, applications, services, and companies shaping the industry in a simple e-mail digest format. This weekly publication has quickly become a "must read" for busy industry professionals who want to stay on top of what’s next.  DOC1.Pro focuses on Professional Members and Doc1.Trade is specifically for AIIM's Trade members.

  • The Chapter's Mission

    We are the largest chapter of AIIM, a global industry association that connects the users and suppliers of electronic content management technologies and services. Our current focus is to provide a forum for establishing an e-Business infrastructure to bridge traditional document,  imaging and workflow technologies with the new Web and Internet-based technologies. 

     

    Our members are represented by the industry, Federal Government, consultants, system integrators, law firms and multinational organizations in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

     

    Our Chapter Profile

    The National Capitol Chapter (NCC) is managed and operated by an Executive Committee (EC) whose volunteer members are elaeted and appointed in the late Spring of each year.  The EC members are represented by leading organizations in commercial and government business that provide a wide array of e-Business and other cutting edge products and services.  Our programs and benefits include the following:
